A quick post to share a sample Visio of the VMware Telco Cloud Platform (TCP) on Dell infrastructure.
The components of the VMware Telco Cloud Platform 5G Edition 2.1 are as follows:
- VMware ESXi 7.0
- VMware vCenter Server
- VMware vRealize Orchestrator Appliance
- VMware NSX-T Data Center Advanced Edition
- VMware Telco Cloud Automation
- VMware Tanzu Standard for Telco
Please refer to official VMware docs for current software versions and patches.
This sample architecture diagram consists of:
- A standard Management Workload Domain
- Single 4-node Cluster
- A single Compute Workload Domain
- Two 4-node Clusters
- One Edge Cluster
- One Workload Cluster
- Two 4-node Clusters
- All Dell R740 Servers
This is just a sample architecture to help get things moving. After all, this is simply a Reference Architecture, a (validated) line in the sand, from which a final solution can be created based on customer requirements.
The Dell Technologies Reference Architecture for VMware Telco Cloud Platform 5G Edition 2.1 can be found here.
Please work with your VMware and/or Dell representatives for more details as required.
After download, jump through the following hoops: rename the .doc to .zip, then extract for the .vsd
Hope that helps!
Steve
