The VxRail Management Pack for vRealize Operations Manager provides 5 out-of-the-box VxRail-specific reports to choose from. This post provides details on what these reports provide, how the information is presented, and how to run each report.
The installation of the VxRail vROps Management Pack and the detail provided by the associated VxRail Dashboards is available here.
The available VxRail reports are as follows:
- VxRail Capacity Summary Report
- VxRail Capacity Report
- VxRail Executive Summary Report
- VxRail Utilization Report
- VxRail Utilization Summary Report
Below is how these reports are presented in vROps. Select Dashboards, then from the Navigation Pane, select Reports.
All available Reports are presented, so to view only the VxRail Reports, enter VxRail into the Quick Filter field, as shown below:

Note: This post is created using vROps v7.5 with the VxRail Management Pack v1.0. The Reports view differs only very slightly in vROps v8.0.
To generate a new report, select the appropriate report from the list, then click Run Template, as shown below:

The VxRail Management Pack/Adapter gathers it’s VxRail-specific information via the VxRail’s vCenter Server, therefore the VxRail Reports must be run against the parent vCenter Server for the VxRail.
In the Select an Object field, select All Objects, expand the vCenter Adapter, then vCenter Server, and finally, select the associated vCenter for the VxRail on which you want to run the report.

The report will be run, and once available can be opened in the Generated Reports tab in either PDF or CSV format

A report can also be scheduled to run on a custom schedule. Simply select the report, click the Actions icon, and select Schedule report. Navigate to and select the vCenter object as shown previously, and create the custom schedule, as shown below:

The Report outputs look like the following:
